These photos were taken between August 13th, 2009 and April 15th 2010. Things have gotten easier as I am much more proficient in sign language now, having been immersed at my school now for about 8 months. I was able to take my trip to the great-hot north, and must confess that it didn’t seem as hot as advertised. I have grown accustomed to the heat. I am not certain the temperature here from day to day, but would think we are averaging 90 and getting to around 100. I hope you enjoy the sites I have chosen to show for round 2! I am not including much description or context in this post for the individual photos, but the title of each photo should act as a small clue. I miss home, but am very happy working here and enjoy the people and projects even more than I had expected. Thanks to everyone that has been supporting me while I am over here! I have started bicycling around most of the time thanks to my grandparents help. I am much happier now that I am able to expand some of my energy doing physical activities. Biking gives me the oporrtunity to see the country at the pace I really enjoy. I am looking forward to my mother and her best friend from high school coming at the end of July! It will be amazing to share this experience with them. I extend an invitation to anyone who is interested in seeing this country for themselves. This is a great oportunity to come visit, as I feel like I would be an excellent host and tour guide now that I have settled in. I hope all are healthy! Less time between posts, I promise!!

Thanks for posting new pictures. I know you can’t possibly catch us up on all that has been going on but it’s nice to see a piece of your life in Ghana. Fred and I had dinner with your parents in Nashville and your mom is really excited about getting to visit in July! Have fun! Oh I am a grandma now. Matt and Katy have a little girl, Canan Noel born April 8th. She is of course beautiful. Looking forward to your next post!
Hi Scott:
I am so excited about coming and seeing you. I am ready for all of it– whatever it may bring. Thanks for updating the site. I love the pictures. Expect another package soon.
Love, Ann
Hi Scott,
Scott I do not believe we have met but I am a third cousin. Visited Ohio about 2 summers ago and was able to visit with Dixie, Barb and Susan for the first time in say 54 years. At any rate, your site is fantastic and I am enjoying your posting and pictures. Good for you for the good work that you doing in Ghana.
Sincerely,
Loretta
yo meetballfacehead,
looks like before you even know it, it will be a whole year since you bailed on me to go do something with your life. i cant even begin to figure out how to express how boring the entire state of ohio actually is without your meatface spicing up the joint. anyway, miss you man and hope youre learning some stuff worth teaching me when our inevitable adventures in dreamland resume. if nothing else i hope your experience in ghana is weening you off your all peanut butter diet (that was gettin a lil nasty, i just didnt have the courage to tell you such).
